As if defending the legitimacy and righteousness of Nickelback weren't enough for my for my RS writing-like mind to tackle today, I found this gem courtesy of one of my favorite blogs.
While the music certainly has pep and its notes intricately woven to produce one of the finest masterpieces to come out of um, Romania(?) in recent memory, and it definitely goes without saying that the resurgence of the keytar is always a sure-fire way sure to get snaps from me, neither of these are what make this video genius, and this coming from a girl who watched a significant amount of Yacht Rock last night.
While the music has its moment of sounding like it's on a loop, I encourage you to watch this in its entirety, because sweet grandmother's spatula, she (well, I *think* "she") is spectacular. Truly future "It Girl" material for 2007, mark my words.
I don't want to give all the beauty of this video away, though I will make mention that there is a moment where she tries to have an "intimate moment" (humping is still considered "intimate", right?) with the keytar (albeit a seemingly stoic one, what with it being on a tripod* and everything. I mean, a little hip action from the keytar might have been nice.) that I will take away and cherish for the rest of my life.
Happy New Year.
